How to Import and Export Audio Files for GTA San Andreas

How to Import and Export Audio Files for GTA San Andreas

If you want to mod the audio files for GTA San Andreas, such as adding new music or sound effects, you will need a tool called San Andreas Audio Toolkit (SAAT). This tool allows you to import Ogg Vorbis files into SA audio streams and WAV files into SA sfx archives. It also allows you to export audio files from each type of archive into individual files.

In this article, we will show you how to use SAAT to import and export audio files for GTA San Andreas. You will need the following things:

  • A PC version of GTA San Andreas

  • SAAT, which you can download from here

  • Ogg Vorbis files or WAV files that you want to import or export

Before you start, make sure you backup your original audio files in case something goes wrong. You can find them in the audio folder of your GTA San Andreas installation directory.

How to Import Audio Files

To import audio files, you will need to use the saat_stream tool for music and the saat_sfx tool for sound effects. Here are the steps:

  • Open a command prompt window and navigate to the folder where you extracted SAAT.

  • Type saat_stream -i [directory] or saat_sfx -i [directory], where [directory] is the path of the folder that contains the Ogg Vorbis files or WAV files that you want to import. For example, if you want to import new music files into the radio station Bounce FM, you would type saat_stream -i C:\Users\YourName\Music\BounceFM.

  • The tool will scan the folder and list the files that it found. It will also show you the original file names and sizes of the audio files that will be replaced. Make sure that the new files have the same names and extensions as the original ones. For example, if you want to replace Bounce FM.ogg, your new file should also be named Bounce FM.ogg.

  • If everything looks correct, press Y to confirm and start importing. The tool will overwrite the original audio files with the new ones. This may take some time depending on the size and number of files.

  • When the importing is done, you can close the command prompt window and launch GTA San Andreas. You should hear your new audio files in the game.

How to Export Audio Files

To export audio files, you will need to use the saat_stream tool for music and the saat_sfx tool for sound effects. Here are the steps:

  • Open a command prompt window and navigate to the folder where you extracted SAAT.

  • Type saat_stream -e [directory] or saat_sfx -e [directory], where [directory] is the path of the folder where you want to save the exported audio files. For example, if you want to export all the music files from GTA San Andreas, you would type saat_stream -e C:\Users\YourName\Music\GTA_SA_Music.

  • The tool will scan the audio archives and list the files that it found. It will also show you the file names and sizes of the audio files that will be exported.

  • If everything looks correct, press Y to confirm and start exporting. The tool will create Ogg Vorbis files or WAV files in the specified folder. This may take some time depending on the size and number of files.

When the exporting is done, you can close the command prompt window and open the folder where you saved the exported audio files. You can play them with any media player that supports Ogg Vorb e0e6b7cb5c
